Lady GaGa had never heard of British band Girls Aloud before yesterday.
The New York-born singer - who recently stormed the charts in the US and UK with her single Just Dance - was overheard at last night's Brit Awards in London asking her entourage: "Who are these people?"
A total of 16 minders, assistants and managers were crammed into her dressing room - and used a rota to hang out with her, according to The Sun.
A backstage source told the publication, "People had to go in four at a time so as not to cramp her style.
"Then she'd swap them over with others who were hanging outside. It was hilarious."
