Hello my dears. Every moment and conscious reality of my day is spent thinking of new ways to tell stories. The old gang from NY has been on the road with me quite a bit, and will be returning in Boston. The transmission gagavisions are not gone forever, but have been seriously outdated. The last transmission was video footage from at least 6 months ago. The progression of the show, and the haus, the feverish loyalty of the fans, is very dear to me and is the nexus of my creativity. I want you to have the proper films we've been working on. Lady Starlight and I both love the transmission gaga visions, but we felt they needed to die. A slow heavy metal death. And thus became the birth of the new, POP CULTURE PARKING LOT. This series will take two aesthetic forms, the realist, and the surrealist. and is intended to document the spirit not just of myself, my music, and the haus, who you will get to know much better, but it is mostly intended to document you. The fans.
The fame ball is not about me. Its about YOU. Its about the music. Put your cameras down. Have a drink. Dance. And make strange love to eachother.
The last time the newest mistress of pop music performed in Chicago, she was almost arrested for prancing around town in hot pants.
But during Tuesday night's sold-out double performance at the House of Blues, Lady Gaga had no qualms about going sans pants -- a signature staple that's followed her from the interview circuit to the dance stage.
Gaga kicked off her 11-song set with "Paparazzi" -- the third single from her debut album "The Fame."
While some may say she is nothing more than a regurgitated mix of pop queens Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani who came before her, Gaga showed she's more than a dancing lyric box. She's someone who can sing and put on a choreographed show but doesn't become overwhelmed by doing both.
If you've been to one pop music concert in the Britney Spears genre, you've been to them all: over-sized arenas, theatrics to distract from the fact the singer usually isn't singing and an artist's usually non-compelling relationship with its audience.
But that's not how it was for Gaga's concert.
Fans -- including myself -- knew what they were signing up for before Gaga's show: an hour-plus dance party to the tune of some of her chart-topping singles, including "Just Dance" and "Poker Face."
"My name is Lady Gaga and I've got no money because I've spent it all on my show," she said. "But tonight, Windy City, I feel beautiful and dirty rich."
But the sex-charged lyrics and rhythm that attracted many to her breakout hits carry through the rest of her songs and show that her album is actually pretty good.
Although Gaga is relatively new to the overcrowded pop music scene, she skillfully commanded her performance (literally at times with a lighted scepter) during her debut concert tour and early on showed there's a new diva on the scene to be reckoned with.
Surrounded by a trio of male dancers, her mysterious personality was reflected through a wardrobe use of scantily-clad leotards and outfits that made you think they were straight out of the '80s children's cartoon "The Jetsons."
Sporting a dress made of plastic bubbles, Gaga surprised the audience halfway through the show with an acoustic and showtunes-esque rendition of her hit "Poker Face" on a piano designed to look like her dress. At times, Gaga even used her foot to play the piano.
By mixing it up, one thing Gaga did prove is that her music and performance aren't always just a shuffle of pop-centric tunes that sometimes blend together in theme and sound. She can actually sing — and isn't shy to show it.
The Rakes frontman Alex Donohoe has launched an attack on Lady GaGa, claiming that the US popstar looks like a prostitute.
The indie-rock singer, who is currently promoting his band's new album Klang, suggested that Leona Lewis's low-key approach to fame is much more appealing.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Donohoe explained: "I can't stand Lady GaGa. She is basically selling crap to kids. I think she's terrible and really ugly. I hate her."
He added: "Leona Lewis seems dull but nice. She has standards, nice skin and can sing. Whereas Lady GaGa is trash and dresses like a prostitute."
GaGa has also recently attracted criticism from Just Jack, who claimed that the star sounds like "a weird singing robot".
Meanwhile, Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi has advised GaGa to "put some clothes on" and stop courting the press.

Lady GaGa was left speechless when a randy fan asked her to sign his privates.
The Just Dance hitmaker - who is famed for her outrageous dress sense - says she's asked to autograph fan's body parts all the time - but one X-rated request stands out.
She explains, "I feel embarrassed saying this but the strangest thing I ever autographed was a man's p****.
"I was doing a meet and greet backstage in Canada. I had enough room to write Lady GaGa but I don't really remember.
"I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. Maybe it is still there - who knows? It was a permanent marker too!"

THE LADY STARLIGHT TRANSMISSIONS: DENVER - 3-21-09
A bubblewrap outfit, giant inflatable fruit and frothy fun. That's what we got when two hot pop princesses performed in Minneapolis on two consecutive nights this week.
Although Lady GaGa and Katy Perry have been to the top of the charts this year with bubblegum pop with irresistible party beats, their stage performances were as different as their backgrounds. Perry, 24, is a tall brunette from Los Angeles known for "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot N Cold." GaGa, who turns 23 this week, is a tiny blonde from New York City known for "Just Dance" and "Poker Face."
Here's how their sold-out shows -- Perry's Tuesday at First Avenue and GaGa's Monday at the Fine Line -- compared:

KP: She delivered her chart-topping sensation "Hot N Cold" really early in the evening, and, like a punk rocker, she unexpectedly climbed atop her amplifiers to sing on the balcony railing.
HER VOICE
LG: During the dance numbers, she was singing -- or lip syncing -- over recorded vocal tracks. On the two piano ballads, her voice was strong but not particularly distinctive.
KP: On the rockers, she showed a brassy voice with an intentional hiccup, but on the ballads she had a tendency to be unfocused, squeaky and not emotional enough.

Lady GaGa wishes she was around in the 1960s - so she could "win" John Lennon's Heart.
The Just Dance singer - who recently revealed she chose her music career over her love life - dreams of being a groupie who took LSD and followed The Beatles around trying to get them into bed.
She says, "I'm quite sure that if it were 1968 I may not be the Lady GaGa that I am today.
"I might be arguing with Yoko Ono and trying to win John Lennon's heart and chasing The Beatles in a bus on LSD, hoping that one of them hands me a microphone one day."
The New-York born singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, added that she is looking forward to British music festival Glastonbury, which takes place in June.
"I can't wait for the festival season, especially muddy Glastonbury," she said. "I love all that. I play the Lollapalooza festival in America and before anyone knew of me as an underground songwriter and pop musician I was quite frequently naked and tripping on acid in fields with my friends.
"I used to do Iron Maiden's Run to the Hills in Indian headdresses and bikinis and run round the stage with hairspray on fire. It was freaking amazing."

There are rumors spreading that the image below is the official cover for the new Love Game Promo CD, that is said to be released late April. A few fansite owners are claiming that they have official sources and can verify this information. THIS IS STILL A RUMOR. IT IS NOT YET KNOWN IF THIS IS THE OFFICIAL COVER, OR IF IT WILL BE RELEASED IN LATE APRIL. Meanwhile, I've managed to find this cover in HQ for anyone interested.
Think of Lady GaGa as Britney Spears with a brain.
GaGa is a provocatively dressed, bleached blonde who makes irresistible, mindless dance music that packs clubs and the top of the pop charts. Her "Just Dance" bounded to No. 1 this winter, while "Poker Face" has risen to No. 3. Her debut CD, "The Fame," sits in the top 10, five months after its release.
While Spears cut her teeth in the Mickey Mouse Club, Stefani Germanotta studied at New York's exclusive Convent of the Sacred Heart (other alums: Paris Hilton, Caroline Kennedy, Gloria Vanderbilt) and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Before a producer dubbed her Lady GaGa (after the Queen song "Radio GaGa") the piano-playing singer co-wrote tunes for Pussycat Dolls, Akon and Spears.
As GaGa makes her way to Minneapolis for a sold-out show Monday at the Fine Line, we caught up with the 22-year-old diva by phone in Portland, Ore.
She talked about her obsession with celebrity, style and fame:
Q What sparked you to write "Just Dance"?
A I was very hungover. I wrote the song in about 10 minutes with [producer] RedOne. And it was my first time being in a Hollywood studio. Very pristine, big huge room with giant speakers.
Q How about "Poker Face"?
A Well, I wanted to write a pop song that all my rock 'n' roll boyfriends would like. So it's about sex and gambling.
Q Why do you think your songs are so popular right now?
A I'd like to think I've got a good intuition about culture and what people should listen to. I guess you could say my record is quite timely with the recession; it offers some escapism. It's fun. It's famous. But it's tangible.
Q Why are you so obsessed with celebrity and fame?
A I'm from New York City, born and raised. And my friends and I were able to self-proclaim our own fame as artists. I guess you could say that I became fascinated with the space in between people like us and celebrities. What really makes us different -- if anything? Because when I walk down the street, people would say: "I don't know who she is, but I want to know who she is." I guess you could say that I'm a bit of a fame Robin Hood. I want young people to know that they can be exactly who they want to be. There is an art to fame.
Q What were you like in high school?
A Very dedicated, very studious, very disciplined. I played music every day. Rehearsal, practice, piano. I was in plays and in bands. And I got very good grades. I was also a bad-ass. I was the kind of girl who didn't have to listen in class, but would always ace the test and get wasted later with friends. I'm very, very grateful for my education. I think it's one of the things that makes me different as a pop singer in the way that I approach the work and the visuals.
Q Where does your sense of style come from?
A It's avant-garde. It's New York. It's androgynous. And it's strong.
Q What are you trying to do with your music?
A I'm trying to give people things that they don't need, but will eventually become the reality of the future. I like to tell lies that become true.
Q Last time you were in the Twin Cities, it was for a multi-act radio show. What can we expect from your first headline show?
A It's the most sacred creative experience I've yet to show my audience. As much as I and the music is an exhibition, we have found a way to include the audience in that exhibitionism. It's inclusive. I'm not shouting at anyone; I'm asking them to join me.

The rumors were true! A few months ago the owner of STARSTRUCK found a video of Wale stating that he had a new record coming out and that Lady Gaga would be on it, but much to our surprise, Gaga wasn't on any of the copies of the song we found. As it turns out, the song had leaked a few months early, before Gaga had a chance to record! But we finally have the complete version, and in high quality, 320kbps.
